USCIS'ten Yeni Göçmenlik Değişiklikleri
New Immigration Changes by USCIS, The US Citizenship and Immigration Service has made seven significant changes to the way it handles immigrant cases in the previous several months.
The following is a list of the seven.
Extension of Authorized Work Period
For most timely filed EAD renewal applicants (including family, employment, specialty, TPS, asylum, and diversity applicants), the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced an automatic extension period for Employment Authorization Documents (EADs), extending their authorized period of work from 180 days to 540 days.
Increased time periods will enable noncitizens with outstanding EAD renewal applications avoid pauses in employment and ensure the continuity of operations for U.S. firms.
Work Authorizations for H, E, and L Visa Holders’ Spouses
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has issued new guidance on work permits for H, E, and L spouses. E and L dependent spouses are now permitted to work as a result of their status, and this will be noted on their I-94 forms upon arrival in the United States. This means they won’t have to apply for EADs anymore.
Furthermore, certain H-4, E, or L dependent spouses now qualify for automatic extensions of their existing employment authorizations and associated EADs if they filed a renewal application before they expired and have an unexpired Form I-94 showing their current status.
Furthermore, their EADs will be automatically extended until the earliest of: the end date on Form I-94 showing valid status, the approval or refusal of the EAD renewal application, or (see enhancement 1 above) 540 days from the prior EAD’s expiration date.
The expansion will take place in stages:
They will accept Form I-907 requests for E13 multinational executive and manager petitions received on or before Jan. 1, 2021, beginning June 1, 2022.
They will accept Form I-907 requests for E21 NIW petitions received by June 1, 2021, and E13 multinational executive and management petitions received on March 1, 2021, beginning July 1, 2022.
Because premium processing is being phased in, the USCIS will continue to work toward the availability of premium processing for additional Form I-140 employment petitions, I-539 change of status forms, and I-765 EAD forms in fiscal year 2022.
Meanwhile, the USCIS is dedicated to upholding the congressional requirement that the expansion of premium processing not result in longer processing times for normal immigration benefit claims.
Extensions and Recognitions of the TPS
The USCIS has announced the following extensions to Temporary Protected Status (TPS): Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas issued a fresh 18-month TPS designation for Cameroon on April 15, 2022.

J-1 Visa Extensions
J-1 college and university students in the domains of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) have been granted up to 36-month extensions by the USCIS (including recent graduates who wish to begin academic training no later than 30 days after completing their STEM-related studies).
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has announced the addition of 22 new subjects of study to the STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) program, which will help nonimmigrant students contribute more to the US economy and innovation.
